April Favourite Finds 2016

It’s time for my April favourite finds! This month was a busy one as I prepare to go overseas for 6 weeks partway through next month. I’ve been beavering away preparing posts so I can leave my laptop behind, whilst simultaneously spending as much time as possible with friends – I’m a little exhausted now! Anyway, here’s what I’ve been enjoying this month, I’d love to hear your suggestions too!

April Favourite Finds 2016 | I Spy Plum PieStainless Steel Water Bottle

I’d been wanting to upgrade my ol’ plastic reusable bottle for a while, and when I came across this gorgeous stainless steel option I knew it had to come home with me. I love how light and portable it is when empty, and the teal artichoke on the front doesn’t hurt either! It’s really nice to drink out of and comes with two options for the top which I really like. It’s been with me pretty much constantly since I bought it!

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Each year the comedy festival falls around the time of both my birthday and one of my best friend’s birthdays, so ever since we were about 16 or 17 we have gone to a night or two of comedy together to celebrate. It’s always a lot of fun (although we’ve seen some interesting comedians in our time) and this year was no different! We saw David O’Doherty (a long time favourite of ours), Felicity Ward and went to the live TOFOP recording, and I also headed along to a live Junktime AFL Podcast recording the next day. It was an excellent way to spend a weekend, that’s for sure!

Kathmandu Packing Cells

I picked up these packing cells in the recent Kathmandu sale and used them for the first time when we went to Canberra. They make sorting through my bag so much easier as I can separate things like cables & chargers, underwear, dirty clothes, t-shirts, you name it. I know these will be getting a big workout over the next two months – in fact I might have to pick up a couple more before I go! I do love having an organised bag while travelling!

April Favourite Finds 2016 | I Spy Plum PieReusable Cutlery Set

I’d been keeping an eye out for a good reusable cutlery set for a while and this one really hit the mark. Not only does it include a fork, knife and spoon but a set of chopsticks too! I particularly like that it is in a case which means even if you can’t rinse the cutlery off you’re not going to end up with food residue in your bag. It’s also light and not a problem for taking through most security, so it now lives in whatever bag I’m using (and will definitely be coming travelling with me!). Plus, it’s purple, my favourite colour!

I love that water bottle and two tops? That’s the tops! I must get some packing cells too – they’ll be invaluable on our big trip later this year. Happy Birthday and Happy Travels!
