My April Favourites

It’s been a little while since I shared some of my favourite finds, so I thought I would highlight some of my April favourites with you all! I love stumbling upon new finds and companies that are doing great work, so why not spread the love around a little!

April Favourites

Nude by Nature

I’m replacing all my existing makeup as it runs out with more eco-friendly alternatives, and Nude by Nature is one of my favourite finds. It’s all vegan friendly, free from parabens and talc, 100% naturally derived ingredients and they’re strongly against animal testing. My kind of company! So far I have tried the pressed powder and bronzer as well as the mineral primer and they have all been fantastic, so I can’t wait to try more of the range!

The Horse Watch

For my birthday B bought me a watch from Australian brand The Horse and I love, love, love it. They’re handmade by a husband-wife team in Sydney and I love how simple but gorgeous they are. I don’t normally wear rose gold but I was drawn to the rose gold and black combo and was instantly smitten, so B was lovely enough to buy it for me. Now I wear it everywhere!

Joy Beans Coffee

If you’ve been around here long you’ll know coffee is rather important to me, particularly fair trade coffee, so when I came across Joy Beans Coffee I knew I had to give it a try. Joy Beans is an Australian company that sells fair trade, organic coffee beans that originate from a few pockets of the world. One of the things that I particularly like about them is that 10% of their profits go to a charity in the coffee growing region, so the Mexican grown beans I bought resulted in a donation to a Mexican children’s refuge. On top of all of that, the coffee was delicious as well! I’ll definitely have to try more of their coffees once I’ve made my way through this bag (which probably won’t take me long!)

Bamboo Toothbrush

I recently converted to using a bamboo toothbrush, and I’m loving it. They 100% biodegradable, to the point that you can pop them in your compost bin, which is a fantastic way to reduce waste (30 million toothbrushes are thrown out in Australia every year – that’s a lot of toothbrushes!), plus they still work perfectly to keep your teeth healthy! They’re no more expensive than a regular toothbrush either, you might just have to search a little harder to find one! I got mine from my local health store, but you can also buy them online from Biome^.

Ooh thanks for the heads up on the sale! I’ve had someone else recommend the BB cream, so that’s next on my list to try out!

I have tried a different brand of bamboo brushes in ‘medium’ and found the bristles super harsh. I have a soft one in the cupboard to try but haven’t opened it yet. What’s this brand like?

This one seems to only come in one bristle strength, but I normally use a soft toothbrush and it seems to be slightly harder than that, but not tooo harsh!

I love love love anything Nude by Nature. Natural products are the bomb. You should check out Zen Botanics, I blogged about them recently and their products are lush. Em x
