November Favourite Finds

It’s time for my November Favourite Finds! It’s been a much quieter month than my event-filled October, which as we head towards the end of the year was probably a good thing! This month’s favourite finds are an eclectic bunch, but that’s a pretty good reflection of my month too! I’d love hear your November favourite finds too!

Charcoal Bamboo Toothbrush

Earlier in the year I switched to a bamboo toothbrush and now I’ve gone the next step and bought myself a charcoal-bristled version and it’s most excellent. Not only is the toothbrush abled to be composted, but the charcoal bristles have all kinds of other benefits as well. Charcoal is naturally antibacterial and antifungal so it’s great for your breath and the health of your mouth, as well as being a natural teeth whitener. It doesn’t cost any more than a regular toothbrush either!

Wilosophy Podcast

I mentioned this podcast in my podcast post a little while back but it deserves another mention as a November favourite find! This is Wil Anderson’s more serious pocast (TOFOP & FOFOP are his more comedy ones) and he doesn’t update it following any real schedule, but over the last few weeks he has had an awesome collection of guests. His chats with Dee Madigan, Jarrod McKenna, Marc Maron, Alice Fraser and many others have been well worth a listen, so if it’s not already in your podcast list then hop to it!

Smoothies

With the weather warming up I’ve jumped back onto the smoothie-train this November and I’m loving playing around with all kinds of delicious flavour combos. I’ve been restocking my freezer with fruits and blending up tasty treats all month long. On one of the super hot days recently I combined frozen raspberries with fresh pineapple, coconut water and ice and it was not only tasty but incredibly refreshing. Bring on the summer treats! If you’re looking for some smoothie inspirations then my Healthy Drinks Guide might be for you, and it’s free for all subscribers to my weekly newsletter, so pop your email on the list & the e-book will appear in your inbox quick smart!

Vital Protein Powder

With all my smoothie making I decided it was time to get myself some protein powder to add to the mix to make it a more complete breakfast option. I’d heard good things about the Vital Protein powder as it is vegan friendly, soy-free and comes in a few different flavours. I picked up the vanilla powder and have been adding it to my smoothies in the morning which helps keep me feel full for much longer, plus it tastes good too! I might have to try the coffee flavour next!

Hot Sauces

I’m not one to eat super spicy food, but I do like to add a little extra kick to my food from time to time and this month I have added a few more hot sauces to my pantry! In this warmer weather I eat a lot of Mexican food so I’m sure these sauces will be getting lots of use out of both of these over the next few months as well! The Byron Bay Chilli Company do a range of delicious sounding flavours including a mango & chipotle one which I think might need to be added to my collection soon too!

I got mine from a local health food store, most of them should have them, including places like Aunt Maggies. Otherwise you can get them online from shops like Biome.
