Tips for Car Free Living

So, I’ve never actually owned a car. Sure, I borrowed my mum’s car when I lived at home, but that was for just a small amount of time as my mum sold the car to scrap and junk service as the car had got quite rustic, and at times I’ve babysat cars for friends of mine, but I’ve never had a car of my own. I didn’t always live in the most convenient locations either! So, my day-to-day existence is not reliant on having access to a set of wheels, but it’s really not as difficult as it sounds! I thought today I’d share some of my top tips for car free living, which clearly come from years of practice!

Recipe: Ricotta Gnocchi

Homemade gnocchi is one of those things that I’ve always just assumed is just too much effort to be bothered with, but it turns out I couldn’t have been more wrong! This ricotta gnocchi is deceptively simple to make, super delicious and you can even make a big batch and freeze some, so you can have ricotta gnocchi on hand whenever you feel like!

Recipe: Apple Loaf

Homemade baked treats are so good for the spirit, so I’ve been doing quite a bit of baking in lately! Thankfully I have a willing group of workmates who are always more than happy to help polish off anything I have whipped up, saving me from having to eat it all myself! This apple loaf was a firm favourite, perfect with a mid-morning cuppa and an excellent pick-me-up treat.

Recipe: Herby Israeli Couscous Salad

Israeli couscous is by far one of my favourite salad bases, it’s filling, slightly nutty in flavour and combines well with so many other ingredients. I first made this salad as part of a dinner for my folks and it was so well received I knew I wanted to whip it up again for some work lunches! So here it is, my herby Israeli couscous salad!
