Recipe: Summer Israeli Couscous Salad

Since getting my little BBQ for Christmas I have been wanting to use it for as many meals as humanely possible and this salad was a fantastic way to make that happen. Grilling vegetables brings out such delicious flavours and summer veggies work particularly well for this so a grilled summer israeli couscous salad seemed like the obvious choice!

Review: Xeom Street Food, Collingwood

On one of the recent very hot Melbourne days B and I decided to avoid doing any cooking and try one of the new restaurants to open on Smith Street recently – Xeom Street Food. Xeom does Vietnamese street food and the restaurant is brightly lit and welcoming. The walls are lined with jars, bottles and faux-propaganda posters and there are even a couple of tables set up like little carts.

Meal Planning 101: Benefits of Meal Planning

For lots of us the start of a new year gives us hope of a more organised, less stressful year ahead. For me, meal planning is one of the really key ways to make sure I feel on top of what is going on, whilst also ensuring I eat balanced, nutritious meals (which is extra important after the holiday season!). Recipe: Strawberry Spinach Salad

At this time of year I really like easy, lazy dinners like grilled haloumi or veggie burger patties served with delicious side salads. I’ve always been a fan of the ol’ potato salad (because, well potato!) but this strawberry spinach salad is one of my new favourites. It’s fresh, summery and delicious and is super easy to scale up if you have a crowd to feed!
