Wrapping presents is something I really love doing but the amount of paper that can get wasted isn’t something that sits well with me. Today I thought I’d share some eco friendly Christmas wrapping ideas so you can still have gorgeously wrapped pressies with a little less impact on the planet.
Recipe: Matcha Chia Pudding
Matcha isn’t a flavour I’m overly familiar with, although I did eat a fair few matcha flavoured goodies when I was in Japan a few years ago (matcha kit-kats anyone?!), however when a friend of mine started a company selling matcha powder (called Matcha Maiden, what a fab name!) I knew I needed to buy a bag and have a play. I started by adding it to my morning smoothies (yum!) and then got a little more creative with this matcha chia pudding!
Pubs for Vegetarians: Rainbow Hotel, Fitzroy
On a sunny Saturday afternoon B and I headed to the Rainbow Hotel to catch up with some friends of mine and decided we might as well make the most of it and check out the food offerings as well! So here we are, the next stop on my Pubs for Vegetarians tour!
Recipe: Roast Chickpea & Sweet Potato Salad
Given my love of hearty salads it’s probably no surprise that when it comes to family gatherings I am generally given the task of bringing along a salad or two. With Christmas fast approaching I thought it was about time I started playing with some options to make this year and so far this roast chickpea & sweet potato salad is sitting in first place.
10 Uses for Coffee Grounds
As a Melburnian it should come as no surprise that I’m quite the lover of coffee but I don’t have a fancy coffee machine at home (don’t get me started on pod based machines!), instead I make do with a simple plunger and some good quality coffee. I generally only have one cup a day at home but regardless it still results in lots of coffee grounds, but thankfully there are lots of ways to reuse them around the home. Today I thought I’d share my top 10 uses for coffee grounds, and I’d love to hear yours too!
