Recipe: Citrus Iced Tea

As this crazy heatwave rolls on in Melbourne I’ve needed to come up with new refreshing drinks to stock my fridge with as we’re going through them all rather quickly in an attempt to stay cool! There’s been batches of cucumber water in all kinds of flavour combos and homemade lemonade whenever I got lemons from my parents tree, and now it was time for some homemade iced tea!

Recipe: Grape and Cantaloupe Popsicles

After participating in January’s Sweet Adventures Blog Hop Popsicle Party with my Strawberry Peach Vodka Pops, I was inspired by everyone’s creative flavours and couldn’t wait to try out some more combos of my own! I decided to make some healthy & refreshing all-fruit popsicles using both grapes and melons – doesn’t get much more summery than that!

Compost Options for Apartment Dwellers

Now that I’ve moved into an apartment for the first time there are lots of things I have to learn how to do differently. Up until now I’ve been in houses with either compost bins or worm farms (or sometimes both!) in the backyard so we could easily dispose of any food scraps but I wasn’t sure what I could do in my apartment, so I set about doing some research and thought it might be a good idea to share!

Recipe: Couscous & Chickpea Salad

Now that I’m back in the swing of things post Christmas holidays and moving house I’m back to making big salads on a Sunday afternoon to fuel me for a week of lunches at work. This one was a great way to start as it was quick and easy to prepare, full of flavour and also enough protein to stop me reaching for a mid-afternoon snack. I had been favouring Israeli couscous in recent times but decided it was time to pull the ol’ standard couscous out of the pantry, and I’m very glad I did – it worked a treat!
