I’ve been watching a bit of Masterchef recently (tell me I’m not the only one!) and after they did the risotto challenge a few weeks back I realised I hadn’t made a risotto since my roast pumpkin risotto back in April. It was definitely time for risotto again!
Recipe: Sundried Tomato & Ricotta Dip
If you’ve been around these parts for long then you’ll know I’m a rather large fan of homemade dips, there are so many flavour combinations and they’re generally super easy to whip up, so making them at home just makes sense! Today’s recipe is no exception, it’s full of flavour and it takes under 15 minutes to prepare, can’t go wrong with that!
Recipe: Pomegranate & Mint Iced Tea
Even though we’ve finally had some respite in Melbourne from the crazy heat we’d experienced over summer, iced tea has remained a staple in my fridge. The citrus iced tea I shared a little while back has been on high rotation, but when I found myself with a rather ripe pomegranate in my fruit bowl I decided to mix things up and try a pomegranate based version instead! Even better, the mint came from my little balcony – it’s growing things already!
Recipe: Lemon & Coconut Yoghurt Cake
Now that I’m somewhat settled in the new place I thought it was about time I tried out the oven. I’ve had lots of people stopping by to visit so having a homemade cake ready to share seemed like a logical idea, and came in very handy when my parents stopped by with my nan to show her around. I kept it nice and simple – a lemon and coconut yogurt cake, with an additional depth of flavour coming from the use of vanilla bean flavoured yoghurt – yum all round!
Recipe: Citrus Iced Tea
As this crazy heatwave rolls on in Melbourne I’ve needed to come up with new refreshing drinks to stock my fridge with as we’re going through them all rather quickly in an attempt to stay cool! There’s been batches of cucumber water in all kinds of flavour combos and homemade lemonade whenever I got lemons from my parents tree, and now it was time for some homemade iced tea!
