As I mentioned in my Sydney Weekend Adventures post we spent my sister’s birthday lunch at Bodhi, famous for their vegan yum cha. Yum cha isn’t something I normally get to eat as the vegetarian options are generally a little light on, so this was an excellent change for me!
Review: Daisy’s Milkbar, Petersham
On my recent eating tour of Sydney we started our Saturday with a visit to Daisy’s Milkbar in Petersham for brunch. We got there around 10am and managed to snag ourselves a seat outside in the sunshine, with the place quickly filling up not long after we arrived. It’s decked out like a retro milkbar, with lollies on display in glass jars around the counter and everything – super cute!
Review: Square & Compass Cafe, East Melbourne
East Melbourne is known for its beautiful, expensive heritage homes and well kept gardens, but not so much for its food or nightlife. That’s starting to change thanks to the addition of Square & Compass cafe to the hospital end of the suburb, bringing 7 seeds coffee & delicious food to the area. The folks behind Square & Compass have been involved in some of Melbourne’s most loved cafes (Barry, Touchwood, Pillar of Salt, Porgie & Mr Jones), so they certainly know what they are doing!
Review: Miss Alex & Co, Elwood
It’s not often I visit cafes on the south side of the river (I’m usually too hungry to venture far!) but one Sunday recently we found ourselves doing exactly that, so stopped in at Miss Alex & Co on Brighton Road for a feed.
Pubs for Vegetarians: The Retreat Hotel & Yumtable App
This post is sponsored by Yumtable
I thought it was about time I made the next stop on the Pubs for Vegetarians tour, so we booked a table at the Retreat Hotel in Abbotsford using the Yumtable App. The app lets you search for tables at restaurants by location and then book directly through the app, which is super handy.
