I’ve talked a lot on the blog about reducing waste & improving recycling, but today I wanted to share all the 5 Rs towards zero waste to help show the whole picture. By gradually trying to implement all 5 of these we can all head down the zero waste path together!
Today I want to explore the problem with helium balloons and what we can choose in their place. They might be pretty (and I spent a few years working in a party shop so I know them well!) but they are unfortunately having a huge impact on our environment.
When we’re off having travel adventures it can be easy to slip into bad habits and find ourselves creating all kinds of excess waste, which means we’re leaving the places we visit a little worse off than when we arrived. With these simple tips for reducing waste while travelling you can still have amazing adventures, just without the detrimental impact on the environment when you leave.
It’s time for my April favourite finds! This month was a busy one as I prepare to go overseas for 6 weeks partway through next month. I’ve been beavering away preparing posts so I can leave my laptop behind, whilst simultaneously spending as much time as possible with friends – I’m a little exhausted now!
