April Favourite Finds 2019

It’s April Favourite Finds time! This month my favourite finds revolve around some very excellent birthday presents I received, as well as one of my favourite times of the year in Melbourne. It’s been a pretty excellent month all round, in particular spending more time playing in my new kitchen! I’d love to hear about your April favourite finds too!

Pasta Maker

One of the things I am most looking forward to doing now I have the bench space is make my own pasta. So you can imagine how excited I was to get this pasta attachment for my Kenwood mixer from my sister! Due to way too many weekend activities (more on that later!) I haven’t had a chance to give it a whirl yet, but it’s top of the list when I’m back in Melbourne!

If you have any tips for a complete novice pasta maker please let me know!

Clay Mask

I love a natural skincare product and I love a face mask, so this was right up my alley! I was given this pink clay mask from a friend of mine and whilst clay masks are always a little messy, my skin has been loving it. Another thing I love is the idea of the shop it comes from – you can go in and build your own products in their jars. I’ll have to pop in the next time I’m nearby and check out more of their range!

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

I have been a regular attendee of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for ooh, probably 15 years. I go to a lot of comedy all year round, but I absolutely love the vibe of Melbourne at this time of year, so try and get out to support some acts. This year I have made it to three shows and a podcast, and they have all been excellent! As always we went to see David O’Doherty, but this year I added Titus O’Reily and Josh Earl into the mix as well. Such a fun month!

Console Table

After putting my furniture back post-reno I found myself with a spot just inside the front door that was perfect for a console table. So my parents came to the party and got me one for my birthday! I love that I now have somewhere to put all my bits-and-bobs so my dining table doesn’t need to play that role. I’m also determined to keep it organised and uncluttered, but it might take some practice!
