April GoodnessMe Box 2019 Review

The April GoodnessMe Box was another winner! Lots of new-to-me brands, and some newbies from existing favourite brands! As per usual I ordered the vegan option, and this month’s box was all about ‘food with integrity’. So let’s see what was inside!

Morlife Superdip Mix

I love homemade dips, but I don’t always get round to making them myself. I whipped this up one night when I had friends coming round to watch Game of Thrones and it made for the perfect starter snack. The fact that it is ready in literally seconds is a massive win, plus it was tasty too!

Remedy Coconut Water Kefir

Remedy kombucha (and switchel) are already my favourites, so I was pretty excited to see this coconut water kefir in the April GoodnessMe Box. Coconut water is actually not my favourite, but I certainly enjoyed this one! I liked that it is slightly carbonated, and the passionfruit flavoured balanced out the coconut flavour excellently for me. It’s probably not enough to sway me from my favourite kombucha flavours, but I’m keen to give the lemon squash flavour a try too!

Higher Living Morning Mojo Tea

I’ve tried a range of Higher Living teas in previous GoodnessMe Boxes but this was a new one to me! With the name Morning Mojo I was expecting it to be a black tea, but it’s actually green tea with ginseng, green coffee, cocoa, spearmint and chilli. A super intriguing flavour combo! I took it to work for a mid-morning pick me up and it certainly did that – a great new find.

Spiral Foods Coconut Milk

So whilst I said I don’t love coconut water, I do love coconut milk! I was very excited to see this product in the April GoodnessMe Box and it lived up to all expectations. It was creamy, packed with delicious salted caramel flavour and made for an excellent treat. I could have happily had many of these!

Buckley and Phillips Room Spray

I don’t tend to use much in the way of fragrance at home outside of candles, so I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with this room spray. I needn’t have worried, it smells so good I’m just happily spraying it around my apartment! I love that it is made with essential oils rather than artificial fragrance, and the zesty mix of things like lemongrass and lemon myrtle are right up my alley!

Before You Speak Coffee

I had tried this coffee before in a previous GoodnessMe Box, so knew it was something that for me was best saved for a day when I definitely needed an extra boost. It’s definitely a one-coffee day when I have this for my coffee, but it’s also pretty tasty. I’m not sure I would have these too often, but for an added boost to my day they are a good option!

Chow Cacao Bar

This was a new-to-me brand of vegan chocolate, and one I will definitely be seeking out again. The chocolate itself was smooth, creamy and not too sweet, and I particularly loved this flavour. The crunch of the hazelnuts were perfect, and it was hard not to demolish it all in one go! Now I need to get my hands on the mint flavour to try I think!

Hemp Snack Bar

Since hemp became legal in Australia I have been loving adding hemp seeds to all kinds of dishes, so I was excited to see this hemp bar in the April GoodnessMe Box. I love that it is jam-packed with hemp and protein, making them a much healthier snack option. The choc-banana coconut flavour was really tasty, but I am also keen to try the salted caramel crunch flavour too!
