It’s August Favourite Finds time! Another month spent mostly in lockdown, and my favourite finds sure are reflective of that! Food, plant care, reading, skincare – all the good indoor activities! I’d love to hear about your August favourite finds too!
Indoor Plant Care
For someone with as many indoor plants as I have, I didn’t have much in the way of plant care happening. Sure, I water them, dust their leaves, make sure they have the right light conditions, but outside of that it was pretty patchy! I decided to sort that out this month and picked up a bunch of new goodies. The combination of this Munash Organics soil food and foliage spray mean my plants are now being properly looked after from root to tip and they seem to be very happy about it so far!
I also picked up this Plant Runner plant food which I have been adding to my watering can. I love that it comes with a super handy dropper to make measuring it out really easy, and it doesn’t smell either. After all the happiness my plants bring me it was about time I made sure I showed them lots of love in return!
Warung Agus Feast
After seeing lots of people on my social media ordering amazing looking platter from Warung Agus during previous lockdowns I was super keen to try them for myself. So, the second they offered a delivery service I jumped straight on and ordered one of their Vegan Feast platters. It’s safe to say I wasn’t disappointed! It was designed to serve 4 so I got to enjoy it over a couple of days, and I was very sad when it was all gone! Balinese food isn’t something I have eaten very often, but you can guarantee I will be eating this again when I can!
Brandon Jack’s Memoir
I pre-ordered this book when I first saw it was being released and then basically inhaled it when it arrived. As a long time Sydney Swans fan I was obviously interested in hearing that part of Brandon’s life, but having read a lot of his post-football writing I also knew it was going to be thoughtful, raw, insightful and probably pretty confronting at times. It lived up to my (very high!) expectations, and I absolutely recommend you picking up a copy.
Mecca Max Skincare
I’ve been a fan of Mecca Max makeup for a long time – it’s all vegan and cruelty free, and affordable too. So, when I saw they had released a skincare line I decided to pick up a couple of the items to try. I went with the gel cleanser and the night mask and both have quickly become staples in my skincare routine. I’m very keen to try more of the range now!
