It’s August GoodnessMe Box review time! This month’s box was themed as a refined sugar free box, but most importantly for me it was packed with delicious goodies! Snacks, drinks, things for cooking, all bases were covered. As usual I got the vegan version of the August GoodnessMe Box – let’s see what was inside shall we!
Nutraorganics Miso Ramen Broth
This vegetable broth was absolutely packed with flavour and was perfect as the base of a quick ramen for dinner. I love that miso is the main ingredient, it made for such a depth of flavour compared to so many instant stocks. The fact I could just quickly cook some vegetables, noodles and tofu and dinner was ready was an absolute win!
Mayvers Peanut Butter
Mayvers has always been one of my go to peanut butter companies so I was very happy to see this in the August GoodnessMe Box. I was extra happy to see it is crunchy peanut butter too! I’m still working through the PB I had open so have popped this aside for later, but I know it’s going to be excellent!
Nexba Mango Kombucha
I’m always happy when I get a kombucha in these boxes and this was no exception. I love the level of sparkle in this kombucha, and the mango flavour was also excellent. I saved this for after one of my very long weekend walks in the sunshine and I was a very happy camper when I cracked it open!
I go through a lot of protein powder given it goes in my breakfast every morning, so I was excited to give this a try. I whipped up some overnight oats using this and then topped them with yoghurt and fresh strawberries and it sure was delicious. The protein powder mixed in really well, wasn’t grainy and whilst sweet powders aren’t usually my thing this was definitely tasty!
Tonika Coffee Creamer
I’m actually yet to give this one a try as I’m not someone that usually puts anything in my coffee. The website does say it can go in things like smoothies though, so I think that be how I give it a try! The flavour is definitely one that is right up my alley, so I’m sure it will make for a tasty smoothie.
Gum isn’t something I usually have in my handbag, although with all this mask wearing it has become a little more useful! This gum is both sugar and plastic free (yep, lots of gum has plastic in it!) and eucalyptus is one of my favourite flavours. I would buy this again once I’m through the box I think!
Mingle All Purpose Seasoning
I have tried a few Mingle products before and always enjoyed them so I was very happy to see this in the August GoodnessMe Box! It’s gone straight into high rotation too – especially on roast veggies! A definite favourite from the Box, that’s for sure.
Macro Mike Protein Pudding
I had seen people eating these puddings on instagram and had always been intrigued by them! I made it into the pudding rather than the custard and found it creamy and delicious. The peanut butter flavour was tasty, and I’m definitely try some of the other flavours too.
I think these powders are meant to be used as shakes in place of meals, but I just used it like normal protein powder. The chocolate flavour was rich and tasty, and it mixed well into my overnight oats as well. I’m not sure it quite displaced my go-to Tropeaka chocolate protein powder but it’s always nice to try others!
