It feels like a lifetime ago that I opened my December GoodnessMe Box, even though it’s only been a month! The last GoodnessMe Box of 2020 was unsurprisingly ‘festive’ themed and as per usual was filled with delicious snacks and drinks. Here’s what I thought of what was inside!
Eat to Live Oat-Barley Cakes
The oat-barley cakes were perfect for quick, easy and healthy work lunches in December. They were thin and crunchy and best of all didn’t taste at all like cardboard! I really liked having these on hand and topped them with all kinds of things for delicious lunches and snacks. I would definitely buy these again.
Kitz Living Food Coconut Dream Bar
I have now tried lots of flavours of these bars and all of them have been delicious! This combo of flavours was excellent and as always it made for the perfect mid-afternoon pick me up. I am always happy when I see these in my GoodnessMe Box!
MunchMe Chocolate Raspberry Almonds
Ok so this may well have been the highlight of the December GoodnessMe Box for me! These almonds were coated in chocolate and then dusted in raspberries and were seriously delicious. The flavour combo was delicious and they were still excellently crunchy as well. I had to stop myself from eating too many in one go!
Hart & Soul Mediterranean Couscous
I like using couscous as the base of my meals (not as much as I like using Israeli couscous in my salads!) so this was a nice addition to the December GoodnessMe Box.The couscous base was well flavoured with some visible pieces of tomato and zucchini as well. It made for an excellent quick dinner option when served with some veggies and chickpeas. Definitely a handy one to have in the pantry.
Edenvale Sparking Cuvee
I don’t tend to bother much with non-alcoholic versions of drinks, as I’m more than happy with my sparkling water if I’m not having a drink. As a result I haven’t given this one a try yet, but will keep it on hand for when it’s needed!
Remedy Wild Berry Kombucha
This is probably my equal favourite item from the December GoodnessMe Box! I love lots of the Remedy kombucha flavours, but this new one is an absolute winner. It was an excellent mix of berry flavours, a bit citrusy and all around delicious. I will be buying more of this flavour for sure (Cherry Plum is my other regular go-to, for those playing at home).
Pana Organic Mint Chocolate
I’m always happy when I see Pana in my GoodnessMe Box and this flavour is one of my favourites. This was such a nice little size for an evening treat too. It definitely didn’t disappoint on any level, even with high expectations!
Kez’s Kitchen Brownie Bar
This is another company I have tried a lot of products from thanks to my GoodnessMe Box subscription! I’m yet to receive something I haven’t liked though, and this brownie bar continued that run. It was pretty sweet thanks to the dates, but not overpoweringly so. It was soft and chocolately and a top-notch snack.
Table of Plenty Dark Chocolate Coconut Rice Thins
Last but not least were these dark chocolate covered rice thins. I had seen these around before but was never sure how I felt about the combo of flavours – turns out I really liked it! They were a great combo of sweet and savoury and crunchy to boot. Another excellent snack that helped me push through the end of the working year!
