Back in June I used the list Pip from Meet Me At Mikes created to take stock of the first half of 2014, so as the year rolls to a close I decided it was a good time to do it all again! So here we have it, my 2014 End of Year Stocktake! If you want to see Pip’s original post you can find it here.
Let’s jump straight into it, shall we!
Making: plans for 2015 both for the blog and the rest of my world
Cooking: salads, salads and more salads
Drinking: citrus iced tea during the day, beer at night!
Reading: Amy Poehler’s autobiography, Yes Please. It’s really great, I recommend it!
Wanting: for little, I’m on holidays, we’re all healthy & safe, nothing to complain about here
Looking: forward to the year ahead
Playing: around with some recipe ideas, I promise to share when I’m happy with them!
Deciding: on some new ideas for the blog
Wishing: that everyone has a wonderful start to 2015
Enjoying: spending lazy days in the sunshine
Waiting: for icy poles to set in the freezer so I can eat them!
Liking: having friends back in Melbourne for Christmas – we’re all too far apart most of the time!
Wondering: what 2015 will have in store for me
Loving: being on holidays, spending time with family and enjoying some down time
Pondering: what to have for dinner tonight
Considering: what to do over the next few weeks of my holidays
Watching: lots of cricket! Both at the ground and on the tele!
Hoping: that the sunshine sticks around!
Marvelling: at how many lovely people I’ve met through this blog (you’re all superstars!)
Needing: not a lot right now! Maybe another iced coffee?
Smelling: a gorgeous hydrangea scented candle I got for Christmas
Wearing: lots of stripes and light summery dresses
Following: the cricket scores aaand lots of amazing bloggers
Noticing: how quiet my apartment block is – everyone must be away!
Knowing: how lucky I am
Thinking: of all the things I want to talk about on the blog next year
Feeling: excited, happy and a little bit hungry!
Admiring: people doing fabulous things (like Lauren from Words with Heart)
Sorting: out my editorial calendar for January
Buying: things for the house in the post-Christmas sales
Getting: excited to try out my new BBQ this summer, grilled veggies ahoy!
Bookmarking: lots of recipes that involve BBQing!
Disliking: the idea of having to pack my Christmas tree up
Opening: the fridge regularly for more iced tea
Giggling: often. B always makes me laugh.
Snacking: not too often, I ate a lot over Christmas!
Coveting: not a lot really, I’m pretty content right now
Helping: a few people on their sustainability journey I hope!
Hearing: lots of laughter on the street below my apartment, which is always a nice noise!
