It’s February Favourite Finds time! This time of year is always a little hectic for me as it’s peak busy time at work. I made sure to counterbalance that with lots of delicious food, down time and fun activities. Not to mention a couple of days away for a wedding which was an excellent way to break up the month! So, here’s what my February favourite finds were – I’d love to hear about yours too!
Bham Powerpants
I won a 6-month subscription to Powerpants through GoodnessMe Box and my first delivery arrived this month. They are a company that makes organic cotton underwear and they donate a portion of every sale to a not-for-profit in Papua New Guinea that supports women. Plus, every pair has a statement on it to make you feel empowered as well. The most important bit is that they are seriously comfortable too! I am definitely looking forward to receiving the next 5 pairs in my subscription!
Seed and Sprout
I did a bit of a Seed and Sprout order lately, and everything was excellent so it’s going to take up most of my February Favourite Finds list! I’ve shared my thoughts on this brand previously but this time my order was much more cleaning focused.
I picked a few of their new bathroom range to try and help reduce the waste that comes from my daily makeup wearing. The bamboo cotton buds will mean I no longer need to use the plastic equivalent for touching up my makeup, and that tub should last me quite a long time! The item I’m most loving are the makeup remover pads – they are so soft and I haven’t needed single-use cotton pads since. I love that they also come in a net bag so they can go in the bag then in the machine to get washed. An excellent addition to my bathroom!
The other items I picked up are more kitchen focused. It was time for me to replace the previous bamboo cleaning brushes (they had a very good run!) so I picked up a few different cleaning options from Seed and Sprout. Both the dish brush and pot scrubber have been excellent – they do the job so well, and I particularly love that I can get replacement heads for the dish brush.
I also picked up the grapefruit dish bar (in a handy tin) which smells amazing but also works well too! It’s particularly excellent with the pot scrubber and whilst I still don’t love doing the dishes, it certainly helps. The final cleaning product I got were the loofas (which are even compostable!) which are also a seriously useful product. They’re not only great for cleaning pots and pans, but also for gently scrubbing benchtops after a big Sunday cooking session!
Last but not least in my Seed and Sprout order was a set of the mini silicone pouches. They may be the mini size, but they still a very decent size for snacks, fruit and small veggies. I had been wanting to try these kinds of pouches for ages and I’m so glad I finally bought some – they are seriously useful!
Melbourne Indie Voices
The final piece of my February Favourite Finds puzzle is a new (to me!) choir. After doing a little singing again late last year I decided to hunt out a choir to join for 2020 and I’m so glad I managed to snag a spot at Melbourne Indie Voices. It’s only been a few weeks so far, but they are a seriously friendly bunch of people and the singing is pretty great too. I love that the song choice is all about celebrating smaller local and overseas artists, and it’s so nice to be back singing regularly again. An excellent addition to my week!
