July GoodnessMe Box 2019 Review

It’s GoodnessMe Box time again! The July GoodnessMe Box was absolutely packed with goodies – everything from snacks to drinks to items to help with Plastic Free July! It was definitely one of the most packed boxes I can remember, and it was both quantity and quality! As per usual I got the vegan box, so let’s see what was inside.

Seedlip Garden

This was one of the most intriguing items in the July GoodnessMe Box! It’s a distilled spirit, but completely alcohol free, making it perfect for Dry July. Gin is my spirit of choice, and this made for a nice alternative for when I wanted a fancy drink but without the alcohol. It was orangey in flavour which I loved too!

Fever Tree Tonic Water

I’m usually not a fan of tonic water but when I do drink it Fever Tree has been one of my go-to options. I combined this one with the Seedlip for a pretty excellent combo. It will definitely continue to be my tonic water of choice!

Fem21

Full disclosure, I actually haven’t tried this item after reading the FAQs on their website. It sounds intriguing, but maybe just not for me. I shall hand it off to a friend instead!

Vitasoy Vanilla Chai

This vanilla chai flavoured drink was seriously delicious! Creamy, with a slightly-sweet-slightly-spiced flavour, it was an excellent weekend treat, and something I would certainly buy again. I’d like to try the double espresso flavour too I think!

Salted Faba Beans

I love the fact there are now lots of bean-related snacks on the market, and these faba beans were another excellent find. They were crunchy, tasty and made an excellent work snack. The lightly salted flavour was exactly as described, and I do love anything salty! The lime and black pepper flavour, as well as the sea salt and vinegar sound delicious too, so I will be keeping my eyes out for those too!

Reusable Produce Bag

I’m a huge fan of these kinds of produce bags, and given it was Plastic Free July I was very happy to see this in the July GoodnessMe Box. It immediately went into my reusables kit and went straight into use. If you haven’t tried reusable bags for your fruit & veggies before I highly recommend you get your hands on some!

Forest Fruits Wholefood Bar

The week or two after my July GoodnessMe Box arrived was the best at work because my snack drawer was full of delicious treats. This wholefood bar was one of my favourites! It was fruity, tasty and powered me through a particularly busy afternoon. I’m always wary with dried fruit based products that I will find them too sweet, but this one was spot on for my tastes!

Peanut & Caramel Balls

These peanut & caramel balls were another highlight of the snack drawer this month. Nutty, slightly salty and a little sweet, these little balls were so tasty. It was hard not to eat all three of them at once, that’s for sure. The roasted hazelnut and cacao flavour is calling my name as well!

Axilla Deodorant Paste

I had heard about this brand before so was pretty excited to see this product in the July GoodnessMe Box. I’ve been trialling a few natural deodorants over the last little while, and whilst this wasn’t the easiest to use in this packaging, the product itself seems great. I think I will need to get my hands on a bigger size to trial it for a bit longer, but early signs are looking good.

Hazelnut Meringues

Even though these got slightly crushed in delivery, I was very interested in giving these meringues a try. Egg-less meringues are pretty impressive to see! These were probably a little too sweet and sticky for my taste, but I would be keen to try them again un-crushed. Maybe in the coffee flavour too!

4MyEarth Food Cover

I already have a few 4MyEarth products and use them regularly, so I was very happy to see this in the July GoodnessMe Box. It’s a cover that is perfect for things like leftovers to pop in the fridge, so it is already getting a good workout in my kitchen. Such a simple way to reduce your use of plastic wrap – another Plastic Free July winner!

Lamington Bar

How could you possibly go wrong with a lamington bar?! It was chocolatey, coconutty and delicious. It was pretty sweet, but the raw cacao helped balance that and even a non-sweet-tooth like me loved this. I have tried a lot of Blue Dinosaur products in previous boxes and I can’t remember one I didn’t love!

Probiotic Drink Sachets

I’m all about gut health so was keen to give these sachets a go. I added them to my water and they went down a treat. The lemon-lime flavour was probably my favourite, although they were all very easy to drink. It’s hard to say whether they made a difference based on just a couple of tries, but they definitely didn’t hurt, that’s for sure.
