June GoodnessMe Box 2018 Review

It’s time to review the June GoodnessMe Box! Like usual I received the vegan version of the Box and it was packed with an excellent mix of edible and home-based products. Curated by Kim Beach the June GoodnessMe Box had a health & fitness focus – so shall we see what was inside?!

Tinkernicks Bar

This cashew, chia and cacao bar was from a company I had never heard of before, which is really the whole point of getting these boxes! It was an excellent size for a snack and absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, which I often find date-based products to be, with a delicious chocolatey flavour as well. I’m keen to try out the almond and coconut flavour too!

Pure Harvest Rice Milk

I’m normally an almond milk drinker, but I’m always happy to try other alternatives as well. I like that this rice milk is unsweetened and actually has a relatively decent amount of actual rice in it at 14%. I often find rice milks a bit too thin for my liking, but this one was pretty good and made for an excellent addition to my breakfast porridge.

Organic Clean Dishwashing Liquid

Whilst a lot of the time I make my own cleaning products I don’t tend to DIY my dishwashing liquid. As a result I’m always on the lookout for good eco-friendly alternatives to try out. This little bottle was the perfect size to pop in my suitcase for my holiday so I’ve got a green cleaning option on hand no matter where I’m staying!

Emily Crisps Fruit Chips

I used to love banana chips as a kid, so I was pretty excited to give this fancier version a try! I was not disappointed either. These Emily Crisps were crunchy, not too sweet and utterly delicious. I’m super keen to check out some more of the flavours, particularly the sweet potato sticks, the bean mix, the crunchy pineapple – ok so maybe all of them!

Kez’s Kitchen Raw Cookies

I’ve tried a few of the Kez’s Kitchen products in past GoodnessMe Boxes, and have since bought a bunch myself, so it’s safe to say I’m now a fan. I popped these two raw choc-nut cookies in my carry on luggage for my flight to London so I would have a treat to make the long haul flight a little less painful! Delicious!

Higher Living Green Tea Chai Tea

As a fan of both chai and green tea I was intrigued to give this combo a try. Turns out it was delicious! I loved the addition of the spices to the green tea, in particular the cinnamon and orange peel. It’s a warming tea, perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up or an evening warming drink. I’m definitely building up quite the diverse tea collection!

Urban Ethos Fresh Paper

I was very intrigued when I saw this item in the June GoodnessMe Box. The paper is infused with organic spices which are said to inhibit bacterial and fungal growth and as a result keep your fruit and veggies fresher for longer. I already use a Swag Bag which definitely helps with this, but I like the fact the Fresh Paper can also be used for items out of the fridge. The sheets are meant to work for up to a month, so I have been using it in my fruit bowl. It seems to be working, but I’ll have to keep testing it out for a while longer to know for sure.

Activated Organic Tamari Almonds

Tamari flavoured nuts are one of my absolute favourites and these were no exception. These were so delicious and in some ways it’s probably good it was just a sample sized bag as I may never have stopped eating them! Crunchy and moreish – I will be keeping an eye out for more of these!

Grants Toothpaste

Last but definitely not least in the June GoodnessMe Box was this Grants organic toothpaste. I have used this brand before and loved it (as much as you can love a toothpaste!) so I was very happy to get another tube of it. Fresh mint is my favourite flavour as well, so that was an extra bonus. I particularly love that this toothpaste is free from parabens and SLS, but it also works just as well as any standard toothpaste – so why not switch!
