September GoodnessMe Box 2020 Review

It’s September GoodnessMe Box time! The September box was ‘happy hormone’ themed and full of snacks, goodies for healthy cooking and some skincare as well. As per usual I went with the vegan version of the September GoodnessMe Box – here’s what was inside!

Farmer Jo Cacao & Hemp Granola

I hadn’t come across this brand before – which I guess is why I continue to buy the GoodnessMe Box every month! I did however very much enjoy this granola – it was crunchy, packed with oats, puffed rice, coconut and plenty of cacao. The flavour was delicious and it was an excellent change up for my breakfast!

Macro Mike Clean Cookie

I’ve tried a few Macro Mike products in previous Boxes, but this was the first time trying this cookie. It was a very decent size for a snack – in fact possibly larger than I needed! I’m normally one who prefers more of a crunchy cookie than this was, but the flavour of this was tasty. Almond and choc-chip is a pretty excellent combo, so this was a great way to get a protein boost into my day.

Fem21

Due to interactions with some medication I am on I wasn’t able to give this product a try, but I will be passing it on to a friend (when I can see them again!) to try instead. It definitely sounds interesting though – so I will be checking in to see how she finds it!

Table of Plenty Pistachio Dukkah

I am a big fan of dukkah so I was very happy when I saw this in the September GoodnessMe Box! This pistachio dukkah has been getting a workout on eggs, avocado toast, salads – you make it. It’s safe to say I am a big fan. It also reminded me that I haven’t made dukkah in a long time, and that I should really rectify that once I have finished this one (which won’t take me long!).

Hart & Soul Tikka Masala

This was another item I was keen to try pretty quickly! I love curries, and whilst homemade pastes are always good, having something on hand for a quick dinner is always a plus. This was full of flavour and made a great base to a tofu and vegetable curry. Needing to add cream and canned tomatoes made it slightly less fuss-free than some other bases I have tried previously, but it was still super easy and definitely delicious!

Qi Tea Green Tea

I have been drinking more tea at home again lately, so having another box was greatly appreciated. Green tea isn’t my usual go to, but I liked that this also included berry and pomegranate flavours too. It was a fresh, tasty tea that I have very much been enjoying drinking.

Nutra Organics Berry Choc Chunk Bar

This bar was more the size I expect for a snack! This was a slightly sweet, slightly chocolately, all round tasty little bar. It was dens and delicious and made for an excellent mid-afternoon pick me up treat. I also liked that the wrapper can be composted at home – I always like to see what companies are doing with their packaging!

Ceres Organic Teriyaki Seaweed

This was the second box in a row to have Ceres seaweed in it – but I’m not complaining! This time I got the teriyaki flavour which was super tasty. I’m a big fan of seaweed as a snack food, so this didn’t last long in my pantry. Salty and delicious!

Nutra Organics Ginger Biotics Bar

The second Nutra Organics bar of the box, but this one didn’t disappoint either! Ginger is one of my favourite flavours, and this combo of coconut, ginger, cranberries and dark chocolate was excellent. This was a more substantial sized bar so I saved it for a day I was really in need for an afternoon boost, and I was very happy when I cracked it open!

Elektra Magnesium Island Spice

I’m a big magnesium cream fan so I am always happy to have more to use! This one is combined with oils like macadamia, sweet almond and apricot, as well as Vitamin E and cocoa butter. With a subtle rose geranium scent, this was a light but nourishing cream. I very much enjoyed using it!
