Review: Gabriel, Fitzroy

It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared any of the places I’ve been eating at with you all, but I’m here to do exactly that! Starting with the breakfast my sister and I had at Gabriel on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. We went on early on a Sunday just after Christmas so had the place almost to ourselves which is definitely not the norm at Gabriel!

Review: Archie’s All Day, Fitzroy

It’s been quite some time since I’ve shared a restaurant review here on I Spy Plum Pie, but I’m rectifying that today! While my sister, Pip, stayed with me we decided to hit up a local cafe for brunch and settled on Archie’s All Day, up on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy. I’d been up for a drink not long after it opened but was yet to sample the menu, so I was keen try it out. It’s always busy on the weekends, so my expectations were set pretty high!

Review: Mighty Boy, Fitzroy

My love for Vietnamese and Thai food is still going strong and so I had been wanting to check out Mighty Boy eatery on Gertrude Street since it opened a little while back. B and I finally headed up one rather warm Saturday to check out their menu for lunch.

Review: The Rickshaw, Fitzroy

One very warm Saturday night B and I couldn’t face cooking anything in the heat so ventured out to find food as close to home as we could muster. I had walked past The Rickshaw a few times since it took over a former Indian restaurant and after a quick perusal of the menu we decided to give it a go!
