Holiday Adventures: Coolum, Queensland

I’ve just returned from 6 glorious days in Coolum, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to windy, cold Melbourne and I’m not liking it one bit! My parents have been going to Coolum in the September school holidays (mum’s a primary school teacher) on and off for a few years now and they always stay in a two-bedroom apartment so that friends from Brisbane can come up and visit. A few weeks back they suggested I should come up and join them for part of the two weeks they were going and as I couldn’t seem to come up with a reason not to I booked my flights and away I went! Weekend Adventures: Sydney

Last week I managed to skidaddle off work early on Thursday and jumped on a plane to Sydney to spend a long weekend with my sister to celebrate her birthday. She moved to Sydney earlier in the year and it was the first time I had been to visit her (although not my first visit to Sydney) and I had an excellent time exploring, eating, wandering and then eating some more. A couple of food stops were so delicious they will be getting a post all of their own, but today I wanted to share some of my weekend adventures with you!

Vanuatu Adventures: Underwater Fun

So I know I said that I was done bombarding you all with photos from our holiday, but I am now in possession of some photos that I just had to share! We took a disposable underwater camera with us and tried it out in a few different spots including snorkelling, the Mele Waterfalls and the blue holes. The fun with those kinds of cameras is you have noooo idea if any of the photos are going to turn out until you get them back! Lucky for us there are some great shots (and some absolute duds!) so I thought I would share a few with you today!

Vanuatu Adventures: Finding Vegetarian Food in Port Vila

Travelling to a tropical island as two vegetarians, we knew we were setting ourselves somewhat of a culinary challenge. Vanuatu is known for two things food wise – seafood (including coconut crabs, which don’t actually live in water!) and beef – neither of which were much help to us! We did a bit of research before we left but there was very little information available, so I thought I would share my experiences with you all in case it can be of any help to someone in the future!
