I made a flying visit to London to kick off my recent European adventures and dinner at Mildreds was a definite highlight. I visited their Dalston venue for dinner with my sister, some friends of ours and their adorable twin toddlers and thankfully we were sharing as there were too many options to just pick one!
London Eating: The Gate, Islington
The last meal I had out in London was at The Gate, an all vegetarian restaurant that has been around since 1989 with two restaurants – one in Hammersmith and the one we went to, in Islington. They describe their food as Indo-Iraqi Jewish – a blend of Indian and Arabic cuisines with traditional Jewish food.
London Exploring: Harry Potter Studio Tour
One of the most fun things I did while in London was visit Warner Brothers for the Harry Potter Studio Tour and it was seriously amazing. It is located where the actual films were made and is seriously a must-see for any Harry Potter fans visiting London!
London Exploring: Museums, Historical Buildings, Parks & More
I’ve been lucky enough to visit London a number of times in my life, so this trip was less about hitting the big name tourist sites and more about London exploring more generally. In between visiting markets and spending time in pubs and restaurants with friends that live in London I did a whole lot of walking and exploring, so I thought I’d share some of the highlights with you today!

The very first night I arrived in London the friends I was staying with informed me they had managed to snag us a dinner reservation at Ottolenghi in Islington. Ottolenghi has 5 restaurants and delis across London, with the Islington one his very first.
