B and I dined as guests of Shizuku Ramen
Japanese is by far one of my favourite cuisines, and is more often than not my go-to choice when trying to choose somewhere to go out for dinner. In fact, Japan in general is one of my favourite places which most likely started after we had Japanese student teachers live with us for up to 6 months a year for much of my childhood while they were on placement at my mum’s primary school (where she was the Japanese teacher!)
I’m probably the last vegetarian in Melbourne to eat at Smith & Daughters (with no real excuse given it’s very close to home!) but I finally made it to this all-vegan eatery to find out whether it lives up to the hype!
I have seen reviews of subscriptions boxes of all kinds on blogs for a long time and have often been curious to try one out, so I finally took the plunge and ordered the June Native Box.
One recent Saturday B and I found ourselves in Elwood and in need of a feed, so decided to pick a cafe at random for lunch. We settled on The Joinery as it looked like it would have a few vegetarian friendly choices, and luckily we were right!
It’s been a while since the last stop on my Pubs for Vegetarians tour, but I’m back today with a visit to the Cornish Arms Hotel in Brunswick! I had heard lots of good things about their menu but had never made it over, so when B and I found ourselves on Sydney Road late one Saturday afternoon I knew where we needed to head for dinner!
