Recipe: Watermelon Pineapple Icy Poles

Happy Australia Day (and Meatless Monday linkup day!) everyone!

With all the warm weather we’ve been having this summer it’s been imperative to have my freezer stocked with icy poles, and after making the berry mint combo multiple times it was time to mix things up a bit! I thought a double flavour combination was in order so these bad boys have a pineapple-lime base and a watermelon-mint top, but that’s a bit of a mouthful so we’ll just call them Watermelon Pineapple Icy Poles shall we!

Recipe: Peach Mint Iced Tea

We’re back for another year of Meatless Monday Linkup fun! Today I’m kicking things off with a delicious, cooling iced tea!

Over Summer I like to switch from drinking just water (which I drink a lot of when I’m at work!) to more interesting, refreshing options like iced teas. Last summer I drank a lot of citrus and pomegranate iced teas, but this summer I got my hands on a large pile of super fresh and juicy peaches so this peach mint iced tea was born!

Recipe: Berry Mint Icy Poles

Phew, we’ve made it to the last Meatless Monday linkup for the year! I can’t wait to see what you’ve all been cooking in the lead-up to Christmas!

With Summer upon us again it was definitely time to pull out the ol’ icy pole moulds and get creating. For me it’s hard to beat berries as the perfect summer treat (although pineapple comes in a very close second!) and with my mint plant going berserk on my balcony I decided a combination of the two was in order. Behold, my deliciously refreshing berry mint icy poles!

Recipe: Apricot Yoghurt Icy Poles

After spending our cold, rainy winter being inundated with delicious looking icy-poles (or popsicles!) on all the northern hemisphere blogs I read I decided that once the weather warmed up here I needed to play with some varieties of my own! So I found myself some moulds and then pondered over what flavoured icy poles to concoct. I had a bag of apricots waiting to be eaten so I decided to combine them with some yoghurt for an almost healthy frozen treat! (more…)

Recipe: Chickpea Salad

Even though we are more than a month into Autumn, Melbourne appears to think we’re still in summer and this weekend presented us with glorious sunshine, and high-20s temperatures. This means I’m still making summery food, and this chickpea salad fits the bill perfectly!
