As I mentioned in my Sydney Weekend Adventures post we spent my sister’s birthday lunch at Bodhi, famous for their vegan yum cha. Yum cha isn’t something I normally get to eat as the vegetarian options are generally a little light on, so this was an excellent change for me!
Review: Daisy’s Milkbar, Petersham
On my recent eating tour of Sydney we started our Saturday with a visit to Daisy’s Milkbar in Petersham for brunch. We got there around 10am and managed to snag ourselves a seat outside in the sunshine, with the place quickly filling up not long after we arrived. It’s decked out like a retro milkbar, with lollies on display in glass jars around the counter and everything – super cute!
Weekend Adventures: Eating My Way Around Sydney
As you may have noticed if you follow I Spy Plum Pie on facebook or instagram I spent a long weekend up in Sydney visiting my sister for her birthday. It was a weekend filled with eating, a few drinks and thankfully a whole lot of walking to balance out the eating!
Sydney Exploring: Yullis Bar
For my sister’s birthday dinner we met up with two of her work friends and went to Yullis Bar on Crown Street in Surry Hills. Yullis is an all-vegetarian restaurant with an international menu that is designed to be shared, which is always okay with me as it means you get to try more of the food! The restaurant was packed so we sat upstairs in the bar area which still has access to the full menu, it just has stools and low tables. This wasn’t a problem for us though!
Sydney Exploring: Sadhana Kitchen
If you are a fan of I Spy Plum Pie on facebook you might have seen the amazing looking raw, vegan lasagne I posted on Friday. That beauty was from Sadhana Kitchen, a cafe/yoga studio in Newtown. Sadhana Kitchen is in a warehouse tucked down a sidestreet off Enmore Street and it prides itself on making delicious meals using living, wholefoods as well as cold pressed juices and smoothies, cakes and other sweet things.
