I did one of these Taking Stock posts at the end of 2015 so I thought it only made sense to do another one this year! These prompters were kick-started by the lovely Pip from Meet Me At Mikes and they provide an excellent framework for stopping and reflecting – if you’d like to play along please leave a link to yours in the comments so I can pop over for a read as well!
So, let’s start Taking Stock shall we!
Making : plans for 2017 – oh so many plans!
Cooking : mainly salads, and having more of a play on my little BBQ, it’s such a nice way to cook!
Drinking : lots and lots of iced coffee, followed by beer or the occasional cocktail in the evenings!
Reading: nothing at the moment – I’d love some recommendations!
Wanting: for little, I’m pretty content at the moment
Looking: at the forecast for the rest of my time off work
Deciding: on what to wear for NYE!
Enjoying: spending time with family & friends over the Christmas period
Waiting: for more of my summer veggies to ripen
Liking: pulling out all my recipe books and making plans for things to cook
Wondering: about a few things that I can’t talk about quiiiite yet, ooh mystery!
Loving: that lots of my friends have been back in town over the break
Considering: what e-books and guides to create next, I’d love your thoughts too!
Buying: a few bits and pieces in the sales, nothing too extravagant though!
Watching: lots of cricket – both live at the MCG and on TV, I do love this time of year!
Hoping: the rain passes over so we get some cricket tomorrow!
Marvelling: at the talent of some of my friends – I do surround myself with some pretty impressive women!
Needing: more days in the week and hours in the day, always!
Smelling: the delicious Jam Donut candles that were in the Change Box I got in November
Wearing: lots of stripes, as per usual!
Following: more and more blogs and social media accounts about simple living, it’s speaking to me more and more each year
Thinking: about all the amazing travel adventures I had this year, I feel very lucky
Admiring: people who fight for what they believe in, and thankfully there are a lot of those folk out there
Sorting: out what I will need for my return to work this week
Getting: excited about what 2017 might have in store
Opening: more bills in the mail, boo!
Giggling: as much as possible, it’s good for the soul
Feeling: pretty glad that this year is nearly over
Snacking: on a delicious dip I have been tested for the blog – stay tuned!
Helping: people live a little more sustainably, I hope!
Hearing: so many podcasts – the list of podcasts I am subscribed to is getting a liiiittle out of hand, but I love it!
Huge thanks for all your support of my little blog in 2016, I do have the most lovely readers! I hope 2017 is going to be an excellent year for all of us, and I always love hearing from you all!
