It’s been a little while since I have shared a balcony garden update with you lovely folk, so I’m here today to rectify that! Spring and summer are my favourite time to grow things, so I’ve been happily spending lots of time out on my balcony in recent weeks. The longer days and additional sunshine that heralds the start of Spring makes it a perfect time to get back out amongst our gardens (or continue gardening if Winter didn’t put you off!) and get planting! I thought it was about time I did a little Autumn balcony garden update, now that I have dug up the end of my summer produce (bye bye tomatoes!) and added some more cold-weather appropriate plants!
Summer has come to an end so it’s time to start preparing our veggie patches for the colder months ahead, so I thought I would start things off with an Autumn planting guide. Most of this advice is suitable for people living in a temperate or cool climate which includes most of Victoria, the eastern coast of NSW as far inland as Canberra, the coastline around SA and southern WA, all of Tasmania and a tiny part of southern QLD.
