One of the best dinners we had while in Port Douglas was at Seabean Tapas Bar. Paella and tapas, what more could we have asked for! The food was delicious, the staff were helpful and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well!

These cauliflower feta mint fritters are simple to make, but definitely not lacking in flavour. They make the perfect lunch or dinner option, and are as good on their own as they are served in a wrap or sandwich. Plus, you can make the batter in advance and whip them up as needed!

During our holiday in Port Douglas we ate breakfast at home most days, but took ourselves out to breakfast a few times. After one excellent breakfast at Cafe Fresq we knew we needed a return visit, and I’m so glad we did!

On my recent trip to Port Douglas we visited Hemingway’s Brewery again on a couple of occasions, so I thought I would share my thoughts with you all today. Finding tasty vegetarian food can be a little tricky at seaside locations, but Hemingway’s Brewery had enough options to keep me happy!
Pubs for Vegetarians: The Carringbush Hotel, Abbotsford
Fun fact: I used to be able to see the Carringbush Hotel through my old bedroom window, and never actually visited. More recently though, it’s changed hands, had a makeover and now features an entirely vegetarian menu and an excellent beer list. I knew I needed to give it a try!
