Review: Archie’s All Day, Fitzroy

It’s been quite some time since I’ve shared a restaurant review here on I Spy Plum Pie, but I’m rectifying that today! While my sister, Pip, stayed with me we decided to hit up a local cafe for brunch and settled on Archie’s All Day, up on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy. I’d been up for a drink not long after it opened but was yet to sample the menu, so I was keen try it out. It’s always busy on the weekends, so my expectations were set pretty high!

August Favourite Finds

Woah, how did we get to the end of the month again already?! August has been a particularly hectic one in my corner of the world, with a huge project at work resulting in early starts, late evenings and even a few Saturday’s consulting the community as well. September isn’t looking much better, so I think I’ll need a break when it’s all over! I still found time for some fun though – so here are my August favourites!

Review: Daisy’s Milkbar, Petersham

On my recent eating tour of Sydney we started our Saturday with a visit to Daisy’s Milkbar in Petersham for brunch. We got there around 10am and managed to snag ourselves a seat outside in the sunshine, with the place quickly filling up not long after we arrived. It’s decked out like a retro milkbar, with lollies on display in glass jars around the counter and everything – super cute!

Review: Major Major, Collingwood

Major Major opened at the southern end of Smith Street late in 2014 and I visited not long after for lunch with my family and we were all mightily impressed with the food. B and I decided it was about time we returned to try their breakfast offerings and I actually remembered to take my camera this time!
