Review: Woodspoon Kitchen

One recent Saturday night B and I headed to Woodspoon Kitchen on Smith Street in Collingwood for dinner. We had been years ago (actually, on our second date!) and had really enjoyed it, so decided it was time to go back and feast on some delicious Japanese food. Woodspoon has a large number of vegetarian and vegan options and they are all clearly marked, which is always a plus. There’s nothing worse than ordering something that sounds vegetarian only to find out when it arrives that it’s not!

Review: Bayte

Despite living not very far from Bayte, I first heard about this middle eastern inspired cafe when Cindy and Michael reviewed in on their blog back in June. I decided then I needed to give it a try, so B and I finally made it there one sunny Sunday morning. We sat out in the back courtyard and soaked up the winter sun, while struggling over what to order as all the vegetarian dishes sounded delicious.

Vegetarian Favourites: Trippy Taco

Despite the fact I live at the other end of Smith Street to Trippy Taco I hadn’t been for a really long time, but in the last few weeks I have rectified this with two delicious visits. Trippy Taco is a vegetarian institution in Collingwood, having been first on Smith Street and now around the corner on Gerturde Street for over 10 years. They serve Mexican street food that is all vegetarian, with lots of vegan and gluten free options, and it’s always doing a roaring trade of both takeaway and eat-in food. It’s also fully licensed so you can enjoy a Mexican beer with your tacos – always important!
