I’m not sure how we got here, but it’s April Favourite Finds time! This month culminated with the wedding of one of my best friends, so it’s been a big month! My favourite finds are a broad mix this month – cooking, skincare, you name it! I’d love to hear about your April favourite finds too!
Neighbourhood
I’m a huge fan of Hetty McKinnon’s cookbooks, so I was very excited when this one was added to my collection as a birthday present. It’s already gone to good use as well. I’ve worked my way though a few recipes, and have marked about half the book as ‘to-try-next’ recipes! So good!
Mecca Cosmetica Lip Balm
I was in the market for a new lip balm, and I wanted one with some SPF protection. I decided to give this tinted one from Mecca a try – not only does it have SPF 25, it is also incredibly nourishing and so nice to wear. The rose colour is beautiful too – pigmented enough to wear on its own and really pretty on. It’s not the cheapest lip balm going around, but it’s a decent sized pot and I’m enjoying using it, so it feels like pretty good value so far!
Handcrafted Tonic
Another birthday treat was this bottle of locally made, handcrafted tonic. You probably know I’m a big fan of gin, so adding this to my bar cart has really upped my homemade drinks game! I love that these are such small batches that they have a handwritten batch number on them. More importantly, it is delicious too!
Argent Silversmith Earrings
These beautiful earrings were our bridesmaids jewellery for the wedding – how lucky! Not only are they simple and gorgeous, but they are handmade out of recycled metal, making each one different. Definitely a pair of earrings I will be getting a whole lot of wear out of, that’s for sure.
One of the other things I very happily brought home from the wedding was my bouquet. It was filled with gorgeous Australian natives (including a flower or two from my mum’s garden!) and put together by the bride’s aunt. So beautiful and I’ve loved having it in my house ever since!
