Back in the middle of May I hopped over the ditch back to New Zealand for my Nana’s 80th birthday and managed to fit in a little exploring time in Christchurch as well! I thought I’d just share some of my weekend adventures with you all today!
8 Tips for Vegetarian Travellers
Travelling with a dietary requirement can be tricky at times, but for me food is one of the main reasons I love to travel so it’s something I’ve had to grapple with over the years. Today I wanted to share my top tips for vegetarian travellers to make your trips both fun & delicious! I’d love to hear your tips too!
Canberra Eating: Doubleshot
On my Easter trip to Canberra we headed to Doubleshot in Deakin for breakfast early on Easter Monday, and thankfully we called ahead to book a table as it was absolutely bustling when we arrived. Despite it being a rather crisp morning it was not just the inside tables that were full, but the outside was popular with cyclists, families and dog walkers alike!
Canberra Eating: Akiba
After our afternoon at Bentspoke Brewery we went looking for somewhere for dinner and luckily were able to get a table outside at Akiba, which was obviously a popular spot for a Saturday night feed! Akiba does modern Asian food and is matched by an impressive drinks list including some very tasty cocktails (which we only sampled two of!).
Long Haul Flight Essentials

Luckily there are a few things you can pop in your carry on to improve your flying experience & help you arrive feeling fresher. These are my long haul flight essentials, and I’d love to hear your suggestions too!
