Christmas is often viewed as a time of excess, with big meals, lots of gifts and endless parties almost unavoidable. I’m not here to tell you not to do these things, and not to enjoy yourself over the holiday season but instead I thought I would share some tips to help in planning a sustainable Christmas so we can enjoy ourselves in a more eco-friendly way.

Before heading to Wellington I had heard it was an excellent spot for food, coffee and beer and I was not disappointed. I’ve shared a couple of the places we ate at already, so today I thought I’d do a bumper post of other Wellington food & breweries we visited!

I often make a quick pattie or fritter for a light dinner and these cauliflower carrot fritters are my new favourite. Serve them with a pile of salad and you’ve got yourself a healthy & delicious meal. Plus, they are so quick and easy to prepare!
