As mentioned in my last post, thanks to my serious clothing cull I now have a tiny desk in my room to do my blogging from. To celebrate that fact I decided I had earned myself some new stationary, which I know makes no sense, but when it comes to me and stationary logic rarely prevails!
Luckily, my favourite stationary store Kikki-k were having a sale, so I was able to treat myself to a few essentials (*ahem*) without breaking the bank, and now my desk is set up with all the necessities to keep me organised, inspired and happy. The best part is, it all arrived on my doorstep, neatly wrapped a mere 2 days later. Perfect!
As this order was focussed on setting up my desk/blogging space I focussed on the items I thought would be of most use to me for that purpose, and avoided straying too far into the sections of the website dealing with organisation, filing and the like, because once I enter that world I may never surface again – organisation and storage solutions are my weakness!
So what did I end up with? A hardy A5 notebook was high on my list – something I could throw in my handbag and have with me at all times to scrawl in whenever I felt the need, and this grey wool cased notebook was too nice to go past!
Next on my list was something to help me plan out what I want to write about, and as I’m a visual person a monthly planner (and some pretty coloured pens) seemed a logical choice. I’m now playing with it to find out how it will work best for me, but I think it’s going to help me find a proper rhythm to this whole blogging caper!
I then spotted this gorgeous set of inspiration cards and couldn’t help but add them to my shopping cart. They come in a box with a little wooden stand so you can rotate which one is on display, which I think is great. I love keeping motivational messages around both at home and at work, and this is such a simple but effective way to do it!
The last thing I threw in were these cute little adhesive notes because really, who can have too many of those?! Particularly when they look like this!
Are you as much of a sucker for stationary as I am? Where’s your favourite place to buy from?

April 13, 2013 at 10:32 pm (12 years ago)I’m a huuuge sucker for stationary. My work colleague has the same inspirational post cards on her desk and I love them. Love that monthly planner as well! So simple yet I’ve always wanted something like that. Good luck with your blog planning 🙂

April 24, 2013 at 5:24 pm (12 years ago)They are cute aren’t they! I’ve been rotating them through the little stand, but I need to find a nice way to display more of them at once! Now that my blog technical dramas are over I can actually start using the planner – hurrah!

April 15, 2013 at 8:29 pm (12 years ago)I have to use the willpower of a recovering alcoholic to steer clear of stationary stores. Smiggle, newsagents, department stores all sell the goods I love!
