As a Melburnian it should come as no surprise that I’m quite the lover of coffee but I don’t have a fancy coffee machine at home (don’t get me started on pod based machines!), instead I make do with a simple plunger and some good quality coffee. I generally only have one cup a day at home but regardless it still results in lots of coffee grounds, but thankfully there are lots of ways to reuse them around the home. Today I thought I’d share my top 10 uses for coffee grounds, and I’d love to hear yours too!
Balcony Gardening Update – The Wall Planter
In my first Balcony Gardening post I mentioned that one of things I liked most when buying my apartment was the balcony, and its potential for growing herbs and vegetables. Not only is it north facing, but one side is a solid brick wall, and I envisioned it as the perfect spot to install a hanging structure to make the most of the space I had available to me.
Growing Veggies in the Inner City
There’s little better than cooking with vegetables and herbs picked straight from your garden, and with the growing focus on food miles and eating as healthy and sustainably as possible, growing your own veggies makes a lot of sense.
