Homemade salt scrubs make the most perfect gift for friends, neighbours, teachers or pretty much anyone! Not only are they thoughtful, useful and smell delicious, but they are also quick, easy and cheap to whip up, which is definitely a plus at this time of year! My lemon rosemary salt scrub can be made using ingredients you most likely already have in your cupboard and garden, and can be mixed and in the jars within minutes, making it the perfect last minute gift!

Trupp Cooking School Fermented Foods Class & a Giveaway!

 I attended the class as a guest of Trupp’s Cooking School

No doubt you’ve seen by now that fermented foods are making a rather large comeback in Australia right now, with drinks like kombucha and foods like kimchi becoming much easier to find in our shops and restaurants. I’ve been trying to introduce them to my diet but hadn’t gotten to the point of actually making my own at home, so when I was invited along to the Lost Art of Fermented Foods Class at Trupp Cooking School I jumped at the chance to learn more!

How To: Reduce Plastic at Home

Plastic is one of those things that can seem almost impossible to avoid, but despite our best recycyling efforts it is doing incredible damage to our environment. Whilst it can often be turned into new products and uses, much of the plastic we use is ending up in our oceans, causing huge problems for our marine life. Luckily, with a little forethought it is really simple to reduce plastic at home, so today I thought I would share some of my top tips! I’d love to hear yours as well!
