In the past I have talked about the environmental problems caused by plastic bags, takeaway coffee cups and wet wipes, so today I thought I would talk all about the problem with straws as well! Given their small size they may seem innocuous but unfortunately that’s far from the case, but thankfully there are easy ways we can all be part of the solution as well!
Drinking coffee is most definitely one of my favourite daily activities and living in Melbourne means there is no shortage of excellent cafes to treat myself to a takeaway coffee from. Unfortunately if you’re not careful all this coffee drinking can result in some not so pleasant side-effects for the planet, so today I wanted to talk about the problem with takeaway coffee cups and what to use instead! Instead of buying takeaway coffee, consider buying a coffee maker instead as there are a wide range of affordable and wonderful coffee machines now available.
