Recipe: Tofu Pad Thai

So I got some pretty exciting news on the weekend (which if you follow I Spy Plum Pie on facebook or instagram you may have already seen!) – this little slice of the internet was announced a finalist in the Kidspot Voices of 2015 competition, in the Home & Wellbeing category. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited! So what better way to celebrate than with one of my favourite easy dinners – tofu pad thai!

Risotto is one of my favourite autumn and spring meal options, and this pea, saffron & parmesan risotto is my new go-to. It’s simple but delicious, easy enough for a mid week meal but fancy enough for a dinner party with friends as well.

Recipe: Pea, Mint & Goats Cheese Salad

I’m trying to make the most of the gorgeous fresh summer produce while it’s still around and this salad is a prime example of that. It uses not one but three different kinds of peas and the dressing, whilst being simple, still manages pack a delicious flavour punch. It’s the ideal summer salad for a BBQ! So here goes, my pea, mint & goats cheese salad!

Recipe: Vegetarian Sushi

Sushi is often my go-to option if I need to grab a quick lunch when I’m out and about so I decided it was about time I started making my own to have for lunch on the weekend, or as an alternative to salad at work during the week. The best part about making your own sushi is you can really play around with the fillings, try new combos and make it exactly as you like it! So here we are, my vegetarian sushi!

Review: Major Major, Collingwood

Major Major opened at the southern end of Smith Street late in 2014 and I visited not long after for lunch with my family and we were all mightily impressed with the food. B and I decided it was about time we returned to try their breakfast offerings and I actually remembered to take my camera this time!
