It’s May GoodnessMe Box review time! This month’s box had an excellent mix of food and non-food items, lots of which will be excellent for my upcoming travel. As usual I went with the vegan version of the May GoodnessMe Box, so lets see what was inside!
San Elk Stock
Whilst ideally I would make my own stock all the time, in my ongoing pursuit for slower living its one of the things I am happy to outsource. I’m pretty fussy about my stock though and this San Elk ticks all the boxes. It’s free from any preservatives or additives, instead it is just packed with dehydrated veggies and herbs. It’s not overly salty either which is key to a good stock. I’m pretty happy to have this in my kitchen!
Nutricare Patches
I haven’t needed to use these patch strips yet, but I’m very intrigued by them. They’re made out of bamboo fibre and have things like activated charcoal, coconut oil and aloe vera added to them to help with wound recovery. I’m putting these in my travel first aid kit for my trip in July!
La May Gradual Tanning Moisturiser
Despite having incredibly pale skin I’m not usually one for fake tanning. This one by La Mav does sound interesting though as it is packed with natural ingredients and might even be light enough for me to use! There’s probably not enough in the tube to really see the impact if I was to use it on my legs, so maybe I will give it a try on my face instead. I shall report back!
Chia Shot
I use chia seeds in my kitchen all the time, and the Chia Co are generally my brand of choice so I was very happy to see this in the May GoodnessMe Box! This is a handy size to take away with me to make myself some chia pudding for breakfast while travelling. Perfect!
Chibbs Puffed Chickpeas
Crunchy, savoury snacks are my favourite and so I was intrigued to try these puffed chickpeas. I’d never heard of them before, but I do love a chickpea! These were deliciously crunchy and made for an excellent work day treat. The french onion flavour was also excellent, although I think I need to get my hands on the hot and spicy flavour to try as well!
Whole Kids Popcorn
So this popcorn may be targeted at children, but that didn’t stop me enjoying it! I love popcorn as a healthy snack, and this was an excellent sized packet for a snack. I also prefer my popcorn pretty simple, so the sea salt flavour was right up my alley. Sure, it’s hard to get wrong but I definitely wasn’t complaining!
Du Chocolat
With winter well and truly upon us so hot chocolates are back on the agenda in my house. This sugar free chocolate powder is rich and delicious, and whilst I’m generally happy to have sugar in these kinds of foods it’s also good to have a sugar free alternative for right before bed! I’m keen to try out some of the recipes using the powder from their website as well!
Solid Shampoo Bar
I had tried some Australian Natural Soap Company soaps in the past and loved them so I was excited to see this solid shampoo bar in the box. I tend to only wash my hair once a week, so I’m going to give it a try over the next few weeks and if it works for my hair it will be perfect for my holiday. Solid shampoo bars are such an excellent way to reduce the plastic in your bathroom as well!
Wotnot Facial Wipes
I try not to use facial wipes too often given the waste they create, but I’m not going to lie, they are often very handy. I’ve tried these Wotnot wipes before and they are great, because they are packed with top-notch ingredients like rosehip oil and aloe vera. I know I’ve been harping on about upcoming travel a lot in this post, but these seriously will be great for that! I’ll take them on the plane with me so I can feel refreshed and clean after my long haul flights. Perfect!
