I found myself with a fruit bowl of very ripe bananas recently so knew it was time to get baking! This blueberry banana bread was the result and it’s an absolute winner. Moist, delicious and not too sweet either!
It’s April Favourite Finds time! This month my favourite finds revolve around some very excellent birthday presents I received, as well as one of my favourite times of the year in Melbourne. It’s been a pretty excellent month all round, in particular spending more time playing in my new kitchen! I’d love to hear about your April favourite finds too!
One of the benefits of my kitchen reno is that my cookbooks are now on display, so I’m finding myself reaching for them much more often. As a result, I’m finding new favourite recipes in old favourite books! That’s where this butterbeans with spinach and feta recipe has come from, and it’s a real winner.
As I’ve mentioned here a few times lately, my little apartment just underwent a bit of a renovation. Ok, more than a little bit – everything except the two bedrooms were pulled apart and put back together again! Given I didn’t do the work myself a blow-by-blow description is probably uncalled for, instead I thought I would share some of my favourite features! The big, the small and everything in between!
I found some delicious looking mushrooms at the fruit & veg shop recently so decided they needed to be part of my meal plan. This mushroom risoni was the result and it made for an excellent week night dinner, and equally good leftovers the next day!
