Whilst I’m by no means a regular solo traveller, I have done a bit of it in my time. My first big overseas trip at 20 included 3 months of solo travel around Europe before settling in to study in Amsterdam, and I’ve done plenty more of it over the years. I think there are some real benefits of solo travel, so I thought I’d share my favourites today. I’d love to hear your thoughts too!
Places to Visit: Pompeii
I’ve got travel on the mind at the moment which has resulted in me going through old photos and reminiscing about some of the amazing parts of the world I’ve been lucky enough to visit so far in my life. I thought I would share some of my favourites with you all in a new series called Places to Visit, and I’m kicking it off with Places to Visit: Pompeii!
Weekend Adventures: Playing Tourist in Melbourne
Despite the fact B’s birthday was way back in February (and we spent it playing with baby wombats!) this weekend he finally got his present from me – a night playing tourist here in Melbourne. I organised us tickets to the comedy festival, dinner, cocktails and booked a hotel room and it was such a lovely way to spend some time together without having to leave our hometown!
Weekend Adventures: The Birthday Edition
This last weekend was not only a 4-day holiday to celebrate Easter, but also my 26th birthday. Having a birthday on Easter has its pros and cons – a lot of people are away for it, but I did have a whole lot of extra time to celebrate!
