During my recent trip back over the ditch to New Zealand I was charged with finding the family somewhere for lunch in Christchurch. After some googling I settled on Town Tonic, and everyone was super happy that I did!
Sometimes all I want for dinner is a quick pasta dish and this silverbeet pesto pasta is perfect for that. Not only can you whip up the pesto in the time it takes to cook the pasta, but it’s packed with flavour as well. Plus, it’s a simple way to eat your greens!
I first reviewed South of Johnston years ago, but I’ve eaten there a few times lately so thought it was about time for another review! Given its proximity to my place it’s somewhere I go quite a bit, and for good reason! The food is delicious, the coffee is excellent and the staff are super friendly too!
This roast beetroot, apple & haloumi salad really feels like winter on a plate! It’s somehow simultaneously both hearty and fresh, and it sure is delicious. Sure, it takes a little time to make, but it’s mainly hands off and so worth it!
