Unsurprisingly my August favourite finds include a range of holiday goodies! I’m not usually one to buy much on holidays but I think you’ll understand why when you see them. The rest of my August favourite finds have helped me settle back into Melbourne winter life! I’d love to hear about any new favourites you’ve discovered lately too!
Portuguese Tiles
If you followed my travel adventures on instagram you will have seen evidence of my obsession with tiles while in Portugal. If you missed them, don’t worry – I’ll be sharing my adventures here over the coming months too! So, I had to pick up a few things to bring home with me! I made sure to choose things I would be able to get use of at home too. Espresso cups, earrings, a pouch made of cork and some coasters – all things I use!
Let’s focus on those coasters for a second – they are seriously my absolute favourite purchase! They are made out of actual tiles with a cork back and it took me far longer than I should admit to choose which patterns I wanted. I’m pretty happy with my end decision though!
White Port
Speaking of Portuguese goodies, check out this bottle of white port! I wasn’t exactly much of a port drinker, but I had been told by a few people to try the white port when I got to Porto, so I obliged. Turns out it was delicious (actually, as was all the port!), plus they use it to make a refreshing cocktail. So, I knew I needed to bring a bottle home with me. I’m looking forward to cracking it with some friends ASAP!
Nourish Magazine
I had some friends stay at my place while I was away, and they left me a goodie pack on my return which included Volume 6 of Nourish Magazine. It was an excellent read to come home too, packed with incredible recipes and stories about health, sustainability and mindfulness. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future editions (I might even get myself a sneaky subscription!).
Wildfolk Candle
Another goodie that was left for me was this Wildfolk candle and it couldn’t have been a better scent for me. It smells so much like lemon myrtle, and I absolutely love it. Plus, the jar is simple but gorgeous, so I’m sure I will be able to make use of it once I’ve used up the candle. I’ve already been on the website looking for stockists so I can try more of their scents!
