Somehow it’s June favourite finds time! After a few months that felt like they went forever, things definitely seem to be speeding back up again. My June favourite finds are another eclectic bunch – I’d love to hear about yours too!
New books
I have been doing a lot more reading of physical books during isolation – anything to balance out the added screen time from work! I have been trying to expand my reading list as well, and I’m so glad I did. Some of my recent favourites have been Growing Up Aboriginal in Australia and Such A Fun Age. Both very different but excellent in their own ways. I’d love more reading recommendations from you guys too please!
Bare Minerals Blush
I haven’t really been wearing much makeup since working from home and not really going out, so haven’t really been using things up! However, I decided a new blush was in order so picked up this Bare Minerals one. It’s a super lovely blush with a buildable colour and I’ve been very much enjoying using it!
Bamboo Doona
I’m not an overly good sleeper so decided to upgrade my doona and see if that helps. I made good use of the recent sales and picked up a bamboo doona and I’m so glad I did. It’s cosy without being too warm, soft and breathable. I wish I hadn’t waited this long to replace my old one now!
Going out to eat
One of my absolute favourite parts of this month was the ability to sit down to eat a meal again. I have still been pretty restrained, but have definitely enjoyed every meal! I started by returning to one of my favourite pubs – the Carringbush – for one of their delicious burgers, and beers in pint glasses again. Who knew I’d miss tap beer so much!
I have had a couple of cafe meals as well – including at Oxford Larder who have kept me well supplied with takeaway coffee and food over the last few months! It’s been so nice to be able to have additional ways to support my favourite food places throughout June that’s for sure.
