I’ve been trying to have healthy work from home snacks on hand over the last couple of months. These salted caramel protein balls have been one of my favourites – so simple to whip up, seriously tasty and healthy too! I highly recommend you keep some in your fridge!
Ingredients List
- 8-10 pitted dates
- 1/4 cup rice malt or agave syrup
- 2tbs almond butter
- 1 cup almonds
- 1/3 cup protein powder
- 1tsp ground cinnamon
- Sea salt
Steps
- If using dried dates, soak in hot water until softened, then drain
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor
- Blitz until it crumbly but holds together when pressed
- Roll into bite sized balls and store in a container in the fridge
That’s seriously all there is to these salted caramel protein balls! They are seriously ready in no time at all, so you can have a snack on hand whenever the need arises! I used salted caramel powder from Tropeaka but you could use vanilla instead if that’s what you have on hand.
I love that these salted caramel protein balls keep well in the fridge so I can whip some up on a Sunday and have snacks ready for the working week. The hardest part is not eating them all too quickly given how delicious they are! It’s been such a help having something on hand to help fuel me through work all afternoon – there have been some long days!
I used to make bliss balls all the time but for some reason I hadn’t made any protein or bliss balls in ages! I have a feeling I will have these salted caramel protein balls – or maybe some variation of them – in my fridge the whole time I am working from home from now!
