After our afternoon at Bentspoke Brewery we went looking for somewhere for dinner and luckily were able to get a table outside at Akiba, which was obviously a popular spot for a Saturday night feed! Akiba does modern Asian food and is matched by an impressive drinks list including some very tasty cocktails (which we only sampled two of!).
Long Haul Flight Essentials
Travelling and seeing the world is obviously something that is amazing to be able to do, but living in Australia it often requires a rather lengthy, not-so-fun flight (or two!) to get your holiday started. Luckily there are a few things you can pop in your carry on to improve your flying experience & help you arrive feeling fresher. These are my long haul flight essentials, and I’d love to hear your suggestions too!
April Favourite Finds 2016
It’s time for my April favourite finds! This month was a busy one as I prepare to go overseas for 6 weeks partway through next month. I’ve been beavering away preparing posts so I can leave my laptop behind, whilst simultaneously spending as much time as possible with friends – I’m a little exhausted now! Anyway, here’s what I’ve been enjoying this month, I’d love to hear your suggestions too!
Canberra Eating: Grazing
Our Canberra weekend not only coincided with Easter, but was also right before both mine & my mum’s birthdays so we decided to have an extra special meal for Easter Sunday, and so headed out of Canberra to the small town of Gundaroo to eat at Grazing.
Places to Visit: Lijiang, China
After sharing my adventures in Pompeii with you last month, I thought I would return with another beautiful travel location in this Places to Visit: Lijiang post! I visited Lijiang in February 2009 on one of my trips to China while my parents were living there, and it has since stood out as one of my favourite travel destinations. It is an amazing mix of beautiful scenery, history and culture and is most definitely worth a visit!
