It’s March favourite finds time! It seems a little odd to be doing it this early in the month given not only is there a week left of the month, but my birthday falls in that week, but here we are! This has been an excellent month all round with lots of gorgeous weather resulting in weekends in the park, delicious food and lots of adventures. I’d love to hear about your March favourite finds as well!
Loving Earth Chocolate
Loving Earth have released a few new flavours of their delicious chocolate and I’ve loved all the flavours I’ve tried so far. The packaging is also oh-so-pretty and they’re all organic, vegan and fair-trade to boot. I’m still yet to try the Turkish Delight and Banoffee flavours but these rest are seriously so good. I like that they come in little boxes too as they’re hard to resist once it’s open!
Hot Cross Buns
I usually try and avoid buying hot cross buns until the month that Easter falls in but given it’s so late this year I eventually had to cave. They’re just too tasty not to! My local bakery does really good ones, and people have been bringing in all kinds of varieties to work as well. I’m not much of a peel fan but I do love fruit in them. I’m also a bit of a traditionalist and tend to shy away from new flavour combos, but if you’ve got any winners to share I’d love to hear about them!
Golden Plains Festival
After a year off from festivals last year I returned to Golden Plains over the long weekend and it was as awesome as always. It’s one of my absolute favourite festivals and we were greeted with much better weather than we had anticipated as well.
The music was incredible as always, with Neil Finn an absolute highlight. Cash Savage, Camp Cope, The Specials, Nicolas Jaar, Peep Tempel, Confidence Man and oh so many others were amazing as well. I danced so much I came home with really sore legs!
The festival has such a wonderful vibe, with everyone looking out for each other and a real community feeling. One of the owners of the farm it is held on passed away a few weeks before the festival and the outpouring of love and support for the family from the musicians and festival goers was amazing. A top notch weekend all round!
Savoury Yeast
Savoury – or nutritional – yeast is not a new find for me, but it’s been getting a big workout in my kitchen this month! I have to keep aware of my B12 levels and adding this to my dips, sauces, pasta dishes, on popcorn and the like is an excellent way to do that. It’s also delicious and adds a salty, cheesy flavour to dishes which is right up my alley. SO good. If you haven’t tried it before I highly recommend you grab some!

I found a cleaning stick for my iron – i think one of my childre ironed a transfer or something and it had a tacky scorched spot nothing would remove – till I tried a Phillips cleaning stick !!
I could cry with relief (not really now I have to catch up on a month of ironing)
