My time in Berlin certainly was diverse, with visits to lots of historical sites interspersed with plenty of time spent in parks with friends. In today’s Berlin Exploring post I thought I’d share some snaps from the Reichstag and Allied Museum, as well as some of my favourite parks!
The next instalment of my Berlin Exploring series takes us to a few of the more sombre sites Berlin has to offer, but also some of the most interesting – the Jewish Museum, Topography of Terror and the New Synagogue. The museums in particular are incredibly important places to learn more about German history to gain an understanding of how things ended up like they did in World War II and also how the German society has rebuilt itself since.
After my adventures in Dublin it was time for some Berlin exploring! This wasn’t my first time in Berlin, I had spent a few days there back when I was 20, but this time it was no longer the middle of winter and I had a whole week up my sleeve!
Whilst in Berlin I stayed with a good friend of mine, so to say thanks for the hospitality I let him choose somewhere for a delicious meal out, and Beuster Bar was the winner! It’s part bar – part restaurant with a cosy interior that was busy pretty much every time we went past.
