Vegan High Tea

On Sunday afternoon I had a few of my best girlfriends over to catch up and celebrate some birthdays, an engagement and my belated housewarming. We decided to do a high-tea of sorts, and as two of them are vegan we made the whole shebang vegan friendly. I supplied the savoury treats and some pimms and lemonade, and a few of them brought along some sweet treats to round off our vegan feast.

Recipe: Cannellini Bean & Basil Dip

My love for dips is well documented here on I Spy Plum Pie, and I’m always on the lookout for new flavours and combinations. I have made lots of hummus varieties, but use cannellini beans a little less often so it was time to expand my horizons with the humble white bean!

Recipe: Beetroot Relish

I received some beetroots in my veggie box recently and decided to use them for something a little different to what I normally do. In fact, the only surprise there is possibly that I haven’t already shared a recipe for a pumpkin dip! We’re coming towards the end of the pumpkin season here in the Southern Hemisphere, but as I’m seeing all our Northern neighbours celebrating the arrival of the vegetable I was very glad to get another pumpkin in my veggie box to play with. I have a big week of work ahead of me with lots of meetings and deadlines, so I knew having something healthy and delicious on hand that I could graze on whenever I got a chance would be vital, so whipped this up to help fuel my week.
